Jonathan Cooper

Managing Director

Jonathan founded Coopers Marquees in 1998. He studied hospitality management at Barnsley Technical College, and has been involved in the service industry since the age of 16.

At 19, he worked at York Racecourse as a junior manager. Today, Coopers Marquees proudly provides all the marquees, furniture, toilet units and even coffee and ice cream outlets for York Racecourse, and for many other major events. Jonathan’s commitment to providing the very best service is the hallmark of Coopers Marquees, and has enabled the company to raise industry standards and become market leaders. Jonathan is the treasurer and an executive committee member of MUTA – the trade association for all accredited marquee hire companies.

Kristof Czerwionka

Marquee Site Director

Kris, aka Chev, joined the Cooper family in 2006 and has worked his way through the ranks from a marquee erector to site Director.

Chev is one of the most knowledgeable marquee erectors in the industry with over 24 years experience in the field. What Chev doesn’t know about marquee structures isn’t worth knowing and when he isn’t erecting marquees he is dreaming about them! Chev is a family man and enjoys swimming when not at work.

Christine Wright

Director

Christine started with Coopers in 2008. She initially worked in the accounts department and has since covered every role within the office, resulting in an extensive knowledge of the business.

Christine looks after some of our main and longstanding clients  guiding contracts from the initial stages through to event delivery. She also takes the lead in the furniture hire side of the business.

Away from work, Christine is a keen cold-water swimmer and is also chief cake maker in the Coopers office.

Ben Skelton

Hire Manager

With more than 30 years’ experience in the marquee industry, Ben joined Coopers in 2014.

Originally employed as a site foreman, Ben is now the Hire Manager in the Coopers office and has a wealth on knowledge surrounding the marquee industry.  His responsibilities include project management, CAD design, stock management and site team liaison. Given the opportunity, Ben enjoys skiing and scuba diving.

Przemek Szymanowski

Marquee Site Foremen

Przemek is a multi-skilled individual who has developed massively since joining Coopers in 2014.

A valuable member of the onsite team Przemek leads on site builds and puts his carpentry skills to excellent use when finishing off bespoke elements of our clients structures.  As you may expect from someone in our industry, Przemek enjoys the outdoors and spending time in the Lake District with his family camping and playing on the water on paddle boards and kayaks.

Neil Brelsford

Account Manager

Neil has worked in the events industry for over 30 years and joined Coopers in January 2024 as their Account Manager.

Neil oversees a portfolio of assigned customers, actively seeks new sales opportunities and looks to develop long, strong lasting  client relationships. Away from work, Neil is a keen cyclist and enjoys spending time with his young family.

Charlotte Underwood

Business Administrator and receptionist

Charlotte joined Coopers in January 2024 as their Business Administrator and Receptionist.

With over 25 years’ experience in customer services and administration she’s well placed to be the first contact you’ll probably have when making an enquiry.  When not at work she’s busy managing one of the youth age grades at the local rugby club and spending as much time as possible with her large family.

Marcin Manowski

Yard Manager

Marcin has been with Coopers Marquees for 9 years and leads our yard operation.

With a background in the construction industry, Marcin is our Yard Manager and as such oversees and organizes the ‘put up’ of our jobs before they get to site. Marcin also has a hand in the logistics of getting our vehicles successfully loaded and delivered to site.

Wojciech Kawa

Production manager

Wojciech has been with Coopers Marquees for 8 years now and he heads up our PVC manufacturing and repair unit.

As a skilled craftsman, there isn’t much that Wojciech can’t turn his hand to. Along with PVC manufacturing, he also repairs and maintains a lot of our marquee frames.
